Today in the HoL I asked the Government to publish a full AI energy efficiency strategy for making the best use of AI that sets out clear targets for AI to be better than carbon-neutral before 2030. hansard.parliament.uk/Lords/2025-05-…

📣After months of campaigning alongside victims to fully recognise domestic abuse in the law, the Minister has confirmed we’re on the cusp of a breakthrough. ⚖️Today, domestic abusers can’t fully be excluded from early release or even identified 🙏Tomorrow, that could change...

Very sad to hear that Lord Hunt is stepping back. He was always utterly on top of his brief. Always a pleasure to work with. A very effective highly experienced Minister and a true champion for the energy transition.

Utterly appalling decision. These cuts threaten both the livelihoods of farmers (many of whom are already earning less than the minimum wage), and the future of our treasured environment. The Chancellor must think again.

This should be the final nail in the coffin for Thames Water. It needs to be turned into a public benefit company and Ofwat needs to be scrapped and replaced with a real regulator with teeth.

Today I pushed the Government to help move passengers from short haul international flights to rail, based on superb report from Campaign for Better Transport re use of the Channel Tunnel. This would save CO2 emissions and improve international rail connectivity. Win win.

With approx 14.5 million parking fines this year, today I have pushed the Government to go further than the long awaited code of practice for parking, and to introduce a regulator to protect motorists and ensure transparency across the system.

The #PlanningBill needs far more than cosmetic change to ensure that, instead of harming nature, it delivers nature-positive development. So it's good to see the Minister recognise some top issues: legal certainty & scientific basis for offsite action. Now for amendments please.

Cheap accountancy trick this & a breach of Lab manifesto commitments. Great British Energy to loose £2.5bn of promised £8.3bn budget to fund small modular reactors. The ‘this was always our plans but not everyone was paying attention’ quote is insulting. theguardian.com/business/2025/…

My winding QSD on risk & mitigation of wildfires & response to 2 maiden speeches. I asked Minister after if Gov could work on a voluntary agreement with large retailors to remove disposable BBQ's when fire risk is high & add fire risk to weather forecasts hansard.parliament.uk/Lords/2025-06-…

My support for L Krebs's Environmental Targets (Public Authorities) PMB yesterday. 'Gov needs to be interconnected, and these targets and ambitions need to go to the bodies, local authorities and people on the ground who are taking these decisions daily.' hansard.parliament.uk/lords/2025-06-…

BREAKING: MIT just completed the first brain scan study of ChatGPT users & the results are terrifying. Turns out, AI isn't making us more productive. It's making us cognitively bankrupt. Here's what 4 months of data revealed: (hint: we've been measuring productivity all wrong)

Madness that Cons are posting this nonsense now. With escalating conflict & Iranian threat to shut the Straits of Hormuz our need to have UK Energy Security got only from investment in renewable energy is needed more than ever to guard against another looming energy price crisis
