Last week we joined up with North London Cares at the Volunteering Service fair! One student told us how she lived with her grandparents in Italy but moved here to study so was missing them a lot. She was keen to meet other older people in London and share their wisdom with each other.

@northlondoncares @eastlondoncares and @southlondoncares were down at @dcmsgovuk volunteering fair last week! ✨ Staff get volunteering days so they can get involved in their community. Why not ask your work if they do the same and come and make some wonderful local friends!

Longstanding LYN friends, Sinead (34) & Rose (76), are celebrating 3 years of friendship! “Sinead is such a lovely & caring person. I've told her so much about my life, she knows an awful lot. I don’t think she realises how important she is to me.” (Older neighbour, Rose)

Ask East London Cares about the folklore of the trees and plants of Mile End cemetery park, and we could tell you all about the mugwort and ash tree, and more. Thank you Claire from @fothcp for a super interesting and informative afternoon.
