Well this was nice to wake up to. In March it’s twice a week for dinners as I did none in Feb so have to make it up. I’ll be dead by April so get in quick!!!

We all hate last minute cancelling bastards who force me into taking ever bigger deposits but you can benefit from their discourteous ways by taking a seat or two at dinner tomorrow night. £80pp to eat or £400 for DB&B for two. PM me or email us [email protected]

If there was a campaign to halve UK VAT for tourism and hospitality (effectively giving us 10% of our turnover back to invest or pay debts) with major backing from key media, would you, as an operator, regardless of the sense of it, promise to lower prices by a visible 5%?

Wow wtf happened to this hellsite. Two years ago I’d have had a ton of useful engagement from this, I’m off back to Insta

These counties already have tunnels and just fill them up with cars. Give me a bloody tunnel to the Isle of Wight and I’ll show you what tunneling can do. We are in far more need & far more deserving. What a joke. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/m…

What’s wrong with mothers? Every bloody mothers day we serve a full house twice (who all order roasts ffs) & end up with bugger all money because our wet/dry split is 20/80. Whatever happened to getting mum pissed up on her special day?!

Shameless request for your vote to keep me in the Top 20 of UK sommeliers thank you. Honestly I deserve it. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

This is very nice but I’ll never comprehend why the producer stubbornly refuses to offer a screwcap version. Don’t @ me I only drink wine from New Zealand and have no views on the output of other nations. 😘

As of today I am officially Irish & therefore technically employable in the EU. When’s picking season start John Abbey ?? It’s my dream to personally harvest the grapes for the first screw cap Pinson!

I am asked about this building every single day & know multiple people with solid usage plans willing & able to purchase it. To make it work requires hospitality professionals so please hold the next meeting at a time & day when some of us will actually be able to come! :)

Reality of new tax policies. This will wipe out what’s left of high streets. Such a shame - Hursts is much loved & much used in Ventnor

This is absolutely shocking. Decimating a sector that Britain should have been truly proud of. An insane act of economic self harm but successive tone deaf governments

I like screw caps and can confirm all wine would be better preserved by them. I realise the counter argument is difficult to put so can understand leaving in order to escape it.
