I can’t stress enough how important it is to have calibrated yield data. We have the technology to make better decisions for the next crop using yield data #calibrateyourmonitor

Going to be some epic “Fungicide vs Untreated” examples in corn this year w/ the high levels of Southern Rust. Same field, same hybrid, same mgmt in these pics. Harvest prioritization will be key. Don’t just assume fields are “okay”.

Corn-On-Corn Stress: Observations and Yield Impact youtu.be/fpZQQAnFssQ via YouTube Here is a 5 min video of a comparison of corn on corn vs corn on soybeans. It's very easy to pick out the difference from both the ground and the air.

@jesse_moch 3 years of “farm-level” data in NE indicate 2.5 bushels of lost yield for every point of moisture loss. The loss is predominantly machine loss. Respirational kernel loss is insignificant but field drying loss is significant, measurable, and real. #phantom

EPA approved 5-year registrations for 3 #dicamba herbicides with a June 30 cutoff (soybeans) & July 30 cutoff (cotton). EPA also stated they ARE limiting states' ability to restrict this federal label, which can now only be done by state rulemaking. bit.ly/2HJNG6M

Did you know? 260 bu corn with 32k plants/acre Needs roughly 260 lbs of N/acre? That’s 1.7 TEASPOONS OF 32% per plant!! Which 1.19 teaspoons is used between V3-R1 AND .51 teaspoons from R1-black layer Is HOW MUCH or WHEN and WHERE is applied more important?

This Plot! I would have guessed significant yield effect. What are we seeing, Enlist beating Xtendflex even in every plot with cupping.

Pioneer brand corn protects your fields against Tar Spot. See for yourself: the green rows are Pioneer corn products with tar spot tolerance and the brown rows are the competitors. Pioneer: Tar 🛑s here.

Did fungicide on soybeans pay this year? Aproach Prima applied at R3. Even with the lack of rain late summer, there was over a 6 bu advantage in favor of fungicide here! Pioneer Seeds U.S. Corteva U.S. Greg Carpenter Jared Wiese
