Congratulations and very well deserved Sarah McColl-Gausden 🎉 Excited to see the international collaborations you'll develop University of Melbourne Science at Melbourne @WomenSciAUST

Had a beautiful day celebrating both of our achievements 🎉 shout out to QAECO Reid Tingley and Andrew Weeks for an amazing PhD journey and Sarah McColl-Gausden @Erica_Marshall1 Kate Senior for your friendship and support! Science at Melbourne BioSciences UniMelb

We currently have an exciting #PhD project available focused on dealing with missing data and uncertainty in mechanistic niche models of species distributions. The student would be based in QAECO (qaeco.com), a dynamic, friendly, and diverse group at University of Melbourne

In counting down our six most listened-to episodes, this week we've made it number 1🏆🏆 And we're thrilled our most popular episode ever is full of advice from some of our brilliant UniMelb SciComm alumni! Tune in tomorrow for superb advice on how to get your thesis written.

#ESAus23 Holly Kirk (@hollykirk .bluesky.social) urban biodiversity, we should definitely care about it! Ecological connectivity could be one way to help with urban planning

#ESAus23 Ella Plumanns Pouton is looking at fire regimes and their impact on the canopy seedbank of serotinous plants. Lots of different germination strategies!

Very proud to have this project published. Thanks to everyone who helped me take platypus eDNA samples before and after the black summer megafires. Please check it and the The Conversation - Australia + New Zealand article out! doi.org/10.1016/j.bioc… Reid Tingley Andrew Weeks Luke Collins EnviroDNA

New study released using #eDNA to discover the effect of mega-fires on the presence of platypuses. Huge congratulations to Emily McColl-Gausden and the team behind the project including Andrew Weeks Reid Tingley. So excited to release this work into the wild. Thank you so much to the 300 odd researchers who contributed to the project. And especially to my joint-first-authors Tim Parker, Elliot Gould for putting in a terrifying number of hours on this
