We had a wonderful learning opportunity with Mrs ♥️ today who came and planted some beautiful chrysanthemums. She taught us about roots and how we need to make them loose before planting. Of course our hands got dirty with soil. We loved it! 🥰 École Maple Elementary School

This morning, we continued our learning about Orange Shirt Day... We reflected on our LDSB land acknowledgment and came back to the 7 Grandfather's Teachings from last week. All of this helped us write about how we should feel at school and what rights all children deserve 🧡

Thank you so much to our board learning partner Meaghan Fairbairn for leading me through math diagnostics. With this data, we can meet students where they are and continue to build on their numeracy skills. Students played our favourite math games waiting to be assessed.

We ended our day co -creating these beautiful pieces to have up in our class. We will continue to use the Seven Grandfather Teachings as our set of class values. We will dig deeper in to each one monthly 🦅🦬🐺🐢🦫🐻
