East Africa has done well out of this - with only 10% tariffs imposed on Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania among others. 30-32% on Algeria and Angola who sell energy to the US but only 14% on Nigeria - all presumably will sell more to Europe - or Trump will roll some of this back

As Paul Johnson explains, less butter for developing countries is not funding more guns for the UK. It's funding more butter for the UK. Cuts to day-to-day aid spending have freed money for domestic spending (e.g. health, schools, councils). Defence boost is mostly capital.
