Had a great time discussing #CLASSDISMISSED! Congrats on the new book, Anthony Abraham Jack.

We. Had. A. Time. Thank you to Harvard Book Store for hosting #CLASSDISMISSED and to Jarvis R. Givens of Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) for joining me in conversation. And special thanks to all those who came out! #FirstGen

Beyond honored that #InTheShadow is the book selection for this year's #MITReads! And I look forward to being in conversation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) community about the work on October 29. If you in the bean during that time, check the website below and please come thru 👇🏿

LISTEN: Racism Can Make You Sick KFF Health News' Cara Anthony tells how a 1942 #Missouri lynching haunts us and talks with Eddie R. Cole, Keisha Bentley-Edwards & Emory University's Carol Anderson about the health effects of racism and violence #SilenceInSikeston kffhealthnews.org/news/podcast/r…

🔥So intense, so important. Check out episode 1 of a new series by Cara Anthony "Imagine people who like the world we are in, a world where Black people are oppressed," says Eddie R. Cole. "Not telling stories...is an easier way to keep the status quo." kffhealthnews.org/news/podcast/r…

THE BUCKET THAT MADE WNBA HISTORY 👏 A'ja Wilson now holds the single-season scoring record with 941 points and counting 🔥 (via Las Vegas Aces)

Greatly enjoying Davarian L. Baldwin tell the truth on colleges and universities! It's great to watch your heroes work. Shout to the History Department at UMass Amherst!

KFF Health News' Cara Anthony sat down with WORLD executive producer Chris Hastings to discuss the origins of the “Silence in Sikeston” project, which explores the impact of a 1942 lynching and a 2020 police killing in the same rural Missouri community. californiahealthline.org/news/article/r…

Loved watching the cool and erudite Prof. Anthony Jack (Anthony Abraham Jack) in conversation with my brilliant colleague, Prof. Jallicia Jolly (Dr. Jallicia Jolly), at Amherst College. They set the tone for what's possible. #ClassDismissed #FirstGen #HigherEd

Dean Tomiko Brown-Nagin and her cochair, Eric Beerbohm, were charged with investigating open inquiry at Harvard University. "What we learned was sobering," they write. bostonglobe.com/2024/10/01/opi…

The Dept of Education is excited to host a hybrid event next Tuesday, October 15, with Professor Davarian L. Baldwin from Trinity College: “In the Shadow of the Ivory Tower: Rethinking the Community Engagement Model of Higher Education” – learn more/register! events.brown.edu/education/even…

I’m re-reading Eddie R. Cole book for an article I’m working on and apropos of nothing (!) it has me wondering where have all the brave higher ed presidents gone? It feels surreal to read about leaders taking stands at great risk to themselves/their instit. bc they have principles.
