Ryanair admits it pays bonuses to gate staff who enforce its designed-to-be-difficult bag size rules bit.ly/4eX0P81 earn €1.30 to cost a passenger €75. It must take a special type of customer service dedication to do that!

Farage should never be interviewed without being forced to answer for failures of Brexit. That the man whose lies fuelled Brexit vote which has cost UK Billions & who said Liz Truss budget was “best Tory budget since 1986” could be trusted on *anything* is mind-boggling #bbclaura

Brexit's multi £ hundred billion economic damage is IN ADDITION to the global shocks of Ukraine and Covid. Dinosaurs, Brexit INCREASED trade friction, increased inflation and devalued GDP. ALL its effects are negative for UK trade. Trying to argue Brexit is good is plain dumb.

Perfect Leave-voting mendacity 👇 No one - NO ONE - on the Leave side forecast that Brexit would be economically negative for the UK. Because to do so would have lost the referendum.

Brexit, with a massive majority & every single opportunity, has been incapable of delivering a single net gain in the last 9 years. What's going to suddenly change in the next 10 years to make Brexit make back even £1 of the £400bn (£1+ trillion by 2030) it's cost? NOTHING.

Everyone, try asking @Grok if it can find a single reputable forecast showing that Brexit will be long term net positive for the UK, economically. Among the millions of articles it searches globally, why isn't there a single one? 🤔

Good thread on how £/kWh figures which ignore like-for-like availability are wrongly used to compare renewable vs hydrocarbon and nuclear generation👇 But, the thread also omits the cost of pollution and cleanup. Ed Miliband you’re losing the comms battle for this.

£85bn was paid by UK families and businesses as dividends and shareholder returns from the UK water industry - mainly to Australian and Canadian pension funds and asset stripping investors. OFWAT is yet another incompetent regulator.

Europe is basically not participating in chips manufacturing, even worse with rare earths. Should there be a geopolitical event in Asia, European economy would come to full stop. The naivety & complacency of European governments is stunning. But hey, build some more wind turbines

Yesterday, at the meeting in Istanbul, the proposal for an immediate and full ceasefire was reiterated to the Russian side. In response, Russian drones struck residential buildings and the Pryvoz market in Odesa, apartment blocks in Cherkasy, energy infrastructure in the Kharkiv
