Congrats, Sara Edgecomb! Here we explore the role electrostatics and h-bonding play in ionic liquid coatings on polymeric nanoparticles. Spoiler alert: both are important but to differing degrees depending on the chemistry of the polymer!

Gagan developed a library of biocompatible ionic liquids for nanoparticle coatings based on Good's buffers and found some interesting impacts on cellular uptake!
