At 23 years old: ‘Don’t move back in with parents after a break up, rent & be independent.’ No. I should have gone back to live with my parents & saved for a damn mortgage 😭

I recently heard from 2 writers that they don't share their work w/ anyone but their agent & editor before it gets published. It rocked my world, & now I'm super curious: Writers, do you share work w/ trusted readers before you send it to your agent or editor/publisher?

You have no idea who you’re going to be yet. Don’t settle. Love yourself before looking for love. Get skilled up, financially independent and happy. The rest will work itself out. There is no rush.

People publicly throwing shade on their standard query rejection emails, aren’t you worried it will put other agents off? Surely it’s important to show a level of integrity and professionalism when seeking representation? I get it can be frustrating but it doesn’t look good imo.

Don’t mock or belittle others for mispronouncing words they’ve only ever read.
