Condolences. All at CLG Eadan Doire would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Fayne family especially his wife Mary , daughter Miriam , sons David, Derek and John on the sad passing of Brendan. 1/3

2/3. Brendan gave great service in the Red jersey as a player from 1979 until 1986 and as a coach to numerous underage teams. He won a Senior League medal in 1983 and was a vital member of the senior team that reached the County Final in 1984 bridging a 27 year gap .

3/3. Brendan was a teak tough defender with a capital T and a warrior on the pitch but a gentleman off it. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis .

While last weekend was a good one for our club with our Senior footballers getting off to a winning start in the Championship and a reunion for our Dowling Cup winning teams in 1985 and 1995 ,it was also a very sad one 1/3

2/3 as we learned of the passing of one of our former players Brendan Fayne. Brendan lined out with our Senior team from 1979 to 1984 and played a vital part in Edenderry getting back to the top of Offaly football and was very unlucky to miss out on the ulitmate honour in 1985.

3/3 Brendan was a fantastic defender, a great teammate and a warrior in the Red jersey but more importantly was a gentleman away from the pitch. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.

Our U12 hurlers gave another fabulous performance on Sunday morning in Weavers, to defeat Brosna Gaels in the penultimate game of the league.

Well done to our U12 hurlers who had a great win last night against Tullamore in their final game of the league. These boys have had a fantastic season so far and will now start their preparations for a league final and the Jack Wyer tournament.

Well done to our U16 hurlers whose long journey to Ballyskenagh was rewarded with a fine win against SKB yesterday evening, to go 3/3 in the championship. C'mon the Reds 🔴⚪
