Congratulations to all those who’ve received their GCSE Computer Science results this morning, and seeing the results of all their hard work. Total number sitting the exam in UK were up by 11.8% to almost 75,500, 61% of whom achieved a grades 9-4 (old A*-C). #gcseresultsday2018

GCSE Computer Science results saw girls outperform boys – with 65% obtaining a pass, grades 9-4 (60% for boys) and 24% obtaining 9-7 (20% boys). The uptake of the subject at GCSE level by girls remains at an unacceptably low level says Julia Adamson MBE, Director of Education. 1/2
