Josh Simon was named to the 2023 SIAC Preseason All Conference First Team as an offensive lineman. Josh had an outstanding season in 2022. Josh was a key reason why the Golden Rams has one of the top offenses in the conference. Josh is a senior from Atlanta, GA.

Jaree Turner was named to the 2023 SIAC Preseason All Conference First Team as a defensive back. Jaree was a shutdown corner for the Dirty Blue defense in 2022. Turner finished with 21 solo tackles & 3 interceptions. Jaree is a junior from Ocala, FL.

Kam Ward was named to the 2023 SIAC Preseason All Conference Second Team as a running back. Kam finished the season with 77 carries for 468 yards and 6 touchdowns. Kam is a junior from Ocilla, GA.

Dionte Bonneau (Atlanta, GA) was named to the 2023 SIAC Preseason All Conference Second Team as a quarterback. Bonneau finished the season 73/ 139 for 1229 yards and 8 touchdowns & averaged 136.56 yards passing per game.  Bonneau also rushed for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Jalen Pugh was named to the 2023 SIAC Preseason All Conference Second Team as a defensive lineman. In 10 games, Pugh finished w/ 38 tackles.  Pugh had 26 solo tackles & 10 for a loss.  Pugh added 1.5 sacks & 5 QB hurries for the Golden Rams. Pugh is a junior from Jonesboro, GA.

Rashad Jordan was named to the 2023 SIAC Preseason All Conference Second Team as a punt returner. Rashad averaged 21 yards per return and had a season long of 41 yards. Rashad is a senior from Atlanta, GA.

The 2023 season opener for the Albany State Golden Rams Football team has been rescheduled due to the possibility of severe weather. The game against the Wingate University Bulldogs at Irwin Belk Stadium in North Carolina will be held on Friday, September 1, at 4 p.m.
