Very sorry to hear legendary Irish journalist Joe Mac Anthony has died. I spent a wonderful afternoon with him where he told story after story, including where he convinced the Sindo to send him to interview Nixon, then wandered about the White House before getting thrown out!

This school on the edge of Ireland in White Park Bay, Antrim educated the mind of a man that forever changed Irish history. Lord Castlereagh was instrumental in forcing through the Act of Union, by bribery, thereby ending a united Ireland with responsibility for its own destiny

Thank you Laura at the front desk of National Museum of Ireland Kildare St for donning her Ms Marple hat and tracking me down when I lost my wallet. Above & beyond the call of duty! Great day exploring the museum with my kids showing them the relics found near where we live in Wicklow.

My six year old daughter watched the news today. “They were talking about a place called Gaza” she said. “Why don’t they have any food?” She asked. “The children are hungry”. I didn’t know how to explain this to a child. I don’t have words to explain deliberate hunger.
