A temporary wet weather closure is in effect for the Rock Creek trails on the Georgetown Ranger District for OHVs, bicycles, and equestrians. Wet weather closures provide for public safety, protect natural resources and allow time for trails to dry out prior to resuming use.

Temporary Closure: Forebay Road north of SF of American River. SMUD is replacing four culverts associated with the Upper American River Project Culvert Upsizing Project Phase I. The closure is scheduled for M -F from 12/9 – 12/20. The road will be open on weekends.

UPDATE: Placerville Ranger District office. Construction has started on the deck area for improving visitor services and is expected to last about 2 weeks. As this work blocks public access, we are advising visitors to call 530 644-2324 and staff will meet you in the parking lot.
