"Two supporters of More Than Our Rank are even university rankers themselves. These are CWTS | Leiden University — home of the Leiden Ranking ... — and @UMultirank, an EU-funded initiative that aims to provide access to a broader range of institutional data than traditional rankings"

Many important critical remarks by Tony Ross-Hellauer on problems of APCs and predatory publishing and downsides of transformative agreements with large publishers; agree with Tony we need to move past the journal; this is the most promising way to address these problems Science Europe

Congratulations to eLife - the journal on their announcement of a new editorial process centered on preprints and preprint review. Here’s why we think it’s groundbreaking. 🧵 elifesciences.org/articles/83889.

It's been a great honor for me to be the first Editor-in-Chief of Quantitative Science Studies; having served as Editor-in-Chief for 8 years, first at Journal of Informetrics and then at QSS, I'm going to look for new challenges; I look forward to transferring responsibility for QSS to a new team!

In September next year CWTS | Leiden University will organize the STI ENID 2023 conference in Leiden; this will be a hybrid event; we look forward to welcoming both virtual and on-site participants!

Важливий препринт від Eleonora Dagiene для тих, хто хотів дізнатися більше про #ISBN, але не мав до кого звернутися! У роботі представлено огляд як ISBN Manual та the Global Register of Publishers можна використати для визначення жанру та видавця книг 💡: doi.org/10.31235/osf.i…
