Another of Leicestershire’s ‘hidden gem’ churches is the impressive church of St Peter at Kirby Bellars near Melton. Hidden down a leafy lane off the main A607 road, the church’s tower and spire with three lucernes on each face is particularly impressive. 1/2 🧵

Today I visited the thoroughly re-imagined Jewry Wall Roman Museum in Leicester, which has been closed for 8 years and finally opened last month
