Concord won the dual meet tonight. The final score was Concord 86.66, Elkhart 45.33. However, we gained very valuable experience and had quite a few AMAZING performances! I will post more results tomorrow.

At the Concord Meet, freshman Brynlee Jellison threw 36-02 in shot put for 2nd place this was a 1-06.25 PR! Later in Discus, junior Ava Decker placed 1st with the throw of 121-07, this was a 10-00.5 PR! Congrats to Coach Wayne Bias and Coach Mike Mitchell!

Sophomore Alaina Dibley ran 4 distance races in the Concord Meet and set 3 Life PRs! She anchored the 4x800 relay with the time of 2:34 (4 sec PR), then she won the 1600 in 5:47 (7 sec PR) and placed 2nd in the 3200 with the time of 12:43 (12 sec PR)!

Sophomore Shaniyah Hughes was INCREDIBLE in high jump & long jump at the Concord Meet! In high jump she won with the jump of 5-04 and in long jump she placed 3rd with 16-00.5!!!! Congrats to Coach Marilyn Smith on these early season accomplishments for a brand new track athlete!

In pole vault at the Concord Meet, Junior Kyla Albright, cleared 9-00 for 1st place! This ties her Life PR from freshman year! Congrats to Coach Light!

In the Concord Meet, junior Ashlyn Anderson won the 3200 with the time of 12:30! This was a 13 sec Life PR and a SCHOOL RECORD for Elkhart High School! Congratulations Ashlyn!

Also in high jump at the Concord Meet, freshmen Mallory Smith (2nd) and Taylor Higgins (tied for 3rd) set Life PRs! Mallory jumped 4-10 and Taylor jumped 4-08!

Mady Axsom was named the Crossroads League Field Athlete of the Week! She is one of just three first-years that have qualified in the women's high jump for the NAIA championships in May and is one inch away from a 35-year old school record! goleafs.net/news/2023/4/17…
