Melting Martian snow/ice left salt trails as trapped water pools evaporated, discovery by fmr Ehlmann Research Group, Caltech student, Dr Ellen Leask, now Johns Hopkins APL. Much to our surprise, careful sleuthing w/ NASA Mars MRO and Odyssey orbiters showed some are 2Gyr old, surprisingly young for Mars!

A part of our interview with Ell Bogat we thought was especially important was when they stressed how impactful adding your pronouns to your email sign offs and introductions is to promoting gender inclusivity. An easy step we can all take to make our field a better place!

Alrighty @ologies b/c this is literally my dream (and y’all are a big part of why I started my PhD in the first place) I’m officially shamelessly pitching an exoplanet episode!! Exoplanetology? Planet morphology?? (I know you did astrobiology but what about ULTRA HOT JUPITERS)

'How the James Webb Space Telescope works' Source: imgur.com/gallery/dq5ukEa The actual JWST mirrors have 7 degrees of freedom (2 tilts, rotating, moving in 3 directions, changing curvature) with nanometer precision and survived the launch and −230°C Incredible engineering!
