One of my favourite things to make has been these little ceramic puffins 🐧

The thing I enjoy most about a PhD community with different fields of research and interests is that you can find a local PhD/artist who makes ceramic mini puffins which you can get for desk decor. Thank you @RowanKuminski for making me aware and Ella Benninghaus for the puffin! 💙

The making of a puffin plate 🐧

I like using sgraffito to create these print style puffins in clay. Just like lino printing, I carve each puffin into the clay. It takes a long time but I love the final result 🐧

Working on a new plate using sgraffito to illustrate Guillemots. Carving into the black slip is tedious work but I love the end result. Can't wait to glaze and fire this plate!
