Whose kidding who here, thought farmers in the EU were subsidised. Dairy farming should be phased out anyway as it a barbaric practice.

...and then the people asked for their bacon. At what and whose expense you might ask. I hope the end is near for the vile industry. It will be a good day.

Sometimes anything I might say is not enough to describe their suffering, my anguish in knowing we are responsible for it. All it takes, my friends, is empathy, understanding that others' lives have the same value as ours. Do the right thing. JOIN US, IN LIVING VEGAN.

Grateful for this gathering place I refer to often as our vegan community. We are growing in size, awareness, support and voices advocating for animals. The suffering has to stop. You are all together and individually doing a great job.

Ellie CG Hormel Foods is one of the largest factory farms in the world. Recently I noticed that they are slow-rolling a new "Plant-based foods" division. In my opinion this is huge.

Switzerland’s Federal Council has introduced new legislation requiring all foods produced by animals who experienced “painful procedures” to declare this information on the label. The new legislation has applied since July 1, 2025, with a transitional period of two years.

Also make sure whatever is in your garden or what you are adding is not poisonous. Heavenly Bamboo, also called Nandina is DEADLY to birds & they suffer terribly. Also poisonous to other small animals. It is one of the favorite plants of landscapers. Be aware of what you plant!

Do you know what the source of your bacon looks like, or do you just not care! How can you eat it, but be too squeamish to kill the animal & cut yourself a piece. You pay others to do the killing, slicing & grinding for you. Same as paying an assassin!

BBC Countryfile - last nights programme-I watched some pigs running around, really cute, and then we're transported to Melton Mowbray's pork pie factory. Err, what about the bit in between, the fear, the killing. This programme promotes the lie that animal farming is sort of nice

Ellie CG Actually, from what I've seen here on Twitter, there's quite a substantial countermovement in both Britain & the US to either turn lawns into gardens or let them turn themselves into whatever wildness happens. Often by folks worried about bees & other insects, bless 'em.
