Bringing this tweet back because the first ✨Gilchrist Lab✨ journal club of 2024 was on this incredible paper by Elisabeth Prince and #strainstiffeningbiomaterials
Congratulations Elisabeth Prince on this well-deserved recognition.
Congratulations to Dr. Elisabeth Prince, assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering for being awarded the John C. Polanyi Prize for her work to address the pressing challenge of reducing plastic waste. More: bit.ly/3SQeTFL | #UWaterlooProud 🖤💛
I’m extremely honoured to have received the 2023 John Charles Polanyi Prize for Chemistry! Thank you Ontario's Universities for the recognition, and thank you University of Waterloo for a great environment to start this research program!
Congratulations Dr. Elisabeth Prince from University of Waterloo, winner of the 2023 Polanyi Prize in Chemistry! Learn more about their award-winning research: bit.ly/3SV4ysa #ONpse #UWaterloo Elisabeth Prince
NEW PREPRINT ALERT! 🔔 Super exited to share the first work from my postdoc in the Anseth Group! Here we engineer nonlinear elastic bottlebrush polymer hydrogels to study how cells respond to strain-stiffening extracellular microenvironments. 🧵 (1/n) doi.org/10.1101/2024.0…

Inspired in part by the movie #JurassicPark, researchers from The Jeremiah Johnson Group have developed a glassy, amber-like polymer that can be used for long-term storage of DNA, whether entire human genomes or digital files such as photos. chemistry.mit.edu/chemistry-news…
This was a fun project with The Jeremiah Johnson Group and, led by Elisabeth Prince and @edmundhfc. We demonstrated an alternative way to store nucleic acids we call T-REX 🦖 My first J. Am. Chem. Soc. paper and also first paper as part of Cache!
Excited to share this cool project that I got to work on with @edmundhfc and James Banal. Inspired by #JurassicPark, we developed T-REX🦖: a system to store and preserve DNA in an amber-like deconstructable glassy thermoset. Out now in J. Am. Chem. Soc.! Cache The Jeremiah Johnson Group
Elisabeth Prince shares her work on biomimetic hydrogels and the role of biomaterials in directing cell function 🤩 #Biomacromolecules
🎉🎉 Calling all #GreenChemistry cool kids 😎 Check out this symposium on supramolecular polymer assembly taking place at Chemical Institute of Canada #CSC 2025 in Ottawa 🎉🎉 It's going to be awesome! Abstracts are due January 30th 🔗 shorturl.at/KzIPp
