some might persecute us as having conceived a work of prose poetry, but we'd approached DEAR§ as lyricists in opposition to being labeled as poets; [x] & I have reconceptualized the album insert as conversational liner notes to an imagined audiobook never to be released

when everything you have is burning around you in smoke, you should deeply inhale and enjoy it; yet, if you learn to become that fiery thing which can burn everything down, you should make it your goal to raze heaven and earth
