Fine Gael is investing €26 million to upgrade and refurbish 369 community centres right across the country.

Day 1 of my trip as part of the Irish Government St Patrick’s Day Programme. I visited Adelaide, Australia to meet with delegates, visit universities and embrace their local culture too. Lovely bonus to meet so many Irish who have made Adelaide their home.

Day 2 of my trip to Adelaide, Australia. I met with Tammie Pribanic, Under Treasurer for the Department of Treasury and Finance South Australia. I then visited the University of South Australia and onto a community reception in the Irish Australian Association Clubhouse.

Day 3: Today I travelled from Adelaide to Perth. We attended a community reception organised by the Honorary Consul Marty Kavanagh. I was honoured to meet Minister Stephen Dawson and Jessica Stojkobski as well as Gary Grey, former Ambassador of Australia to Ireland.

Day 4 in Perth, Australia. I met with the Perth office of Galetech, an Irish company expanding into Oz. Then to the Irish Australian chamber of commerce where I addressed their St Patrick’s Day event. I also sit down with Dub born, Hon Stephen Dawson MLC @galetech_group @dawsomlc

Day 5: Today, I had the honour of taking part in #Perth’s 10th #StPatricksDay #parade, a fantastic fun filled day of celebration. I met with so many Irish living in #Australia and so many Irish associations from music, dance, art as well as a vast number of Irish businesses 💚☘️

That’s a wrap from #Australia. It was an honour to represent Ireland and have the opportunity to foster trade relations, strengthen political ties & establish educational connections and engage with so many Irish-Australian. I look forward to putting into action all I’ve learned.

Delighted to share the news that Peamount Hospital have been awarded €130,000 under the 2025 #HistoricStructuresFund for structural repairs. This funding will go towards works that will facilitate plans for a training and community centre.
