There was also a short talk about herbal leys. Lambs on trial grew faster in the spring on herbal leys than on a grass-clover sward. There were also benefits in terms of macro and micronutrient supply in the forage

Congratulations Dr Dr Emily Cooledge for passing her viva today. I learnt a huge ammount about sheep and herbal leys from chairing. CoSE Postgrads at Bangor University do such a fascinating variety of work! Thanks also to Christine Watson and Chris Reynolds the external examiners.
