Shaun Lintern Not surprising the GMC are unable to protect the public and untouchable. They mark their own homework and get away with it! Wes Streeting something drastic need to happen

..And yet Wes Streeting stays silent about 1 baby dying every 11 hours in the UK, which are AVOIDABLE deaths. Why is nobody talking about this????? š¤ My daughter Norah wouldāve 6 years old yesterday. Iām not saying that the below is not important, it isā¦ā¦ no words #babyloss

Emily Barley I don't know. Obstetrician wants to wait. Midwives don't want to wait but also do not call consultant in charge/seek a second obstetric opinion.

charles crosland Emily Barley A disturbing aspect is the fact that the parents weren't told about the abnormal heart trace. "We were not made aware of any concerns with Ayla's health until she was delivered floppy, pale and not breathing." google.com/amp/s/www.dail⦠1/

charles crosland Emily Barley What is the thinking behind not informing the parents that there is a problem? That they would not want to wait and would prefer to request an immediate caesarean? That being aware of concerns would worry the mother and fear is bad for the baby? 2/

Catherine Roy Emily Barley This is almost exactly what happened to our baby in Hereford 30 years ago he survived brain damaged 11 year later NHS admitted negligence So sad it goes on still

Catherine Roy charles crosland Emily Barley This is exactly what happened to us. All the facts were not only withheld from us but my medical records were also simultaneously falsified every 30 minutes as the āyesā box was continually ticked when answering the question - āhave parents been informed of the findings?ā

Catherine Roy charles crosland Emily Barley At inquest, Coroner asked one of the midwives who hadnāt informed me why - she claimed it was because I was in pain and that it was the culture amongst staff. The Coroner pointed out that my husband was present and when asked why she didnāt tell him instead, she couldnāt answer.

These comments from Dr Caroline Johnson MP are deeply insulting. The lived experiences of countless women, stark maternal and infant mortality rates, and the fact that black women/babies are almost twice as likely to have their deaths investigated all point to one thing. Structural racism
