Wow. This paper has sparked many conversations about the experiences women have during procedure education. atsjournals.org/doi/full/10.34… Thank you Diana Kelm and @LekshmiMD for the opportunity to work on this!

Session on feedback during procedures. Dr. Emily Olsen: Feedback should be founded in observation! - Go beyond the checklist - Be “SMART” w/ goals so trainees can benefit from the reflection 🛑 Do a “feedback timeout”: What’s that? #ATS2024 @LekshmiMD

To all healthcare workers: If you have a particularly difficult and emotionally tough day in this field, remember that you've done your best, you did not cause a person's disease, and the world is better because you are in it.

Medicine is full of bias against: - Women - Interns - General Practitioners - Ethnic and Racial Minorities - Graduates of Foreign Medical Schools - Anyone not a doctor Improving the culture of medicine starts by treating each other in a more humane and compassionate manner.

Tip 4: Be helpful. Always. One example is getting consults to the ICU that clearly don't need ICU care. In these situations, the referring physician (or clinician) is often just asking for help. Even if they don't need to come to ICU, lend your expertise and support to help
