Brentsville High School's girls basketball team advances to the Class 3 state final with a 46-41 win over Meridian.

Girls are headed to the state finals

This is Brentsville's first trip to the state basketball final. The victory also snaps an 11-game losing streak to Meridian, last season's Class 3 state runner-up.

Brentsville (21-6) plays Friday at 12:30 p.m. at VCU's Siegel Center in Richmond for the Class 3 state title against either defending state champion Carroll County or Lord Botetourt.
