The unbearable heat and humidity remains the major weather story on Tue, with highs into the mid to upper 90s, over 100 degrees naturally in some spots. Feel-like temps, heat index values, will be closer to 107 degrees, resulting in an Extreme Heat Warning for much of our area.

12 PM Update: I cannot believe how hot it feels outside. A great way to explain it, as if someone was pointing a hot blow-dryer at you. #mewx #heatindex

At 3:20 AM, there is a dew point of 74 degrees in Portland. Again, it feels like a hot blow-dryer is directly in your face. Thankfully, dew points will fall to the 50s later today.

We'll stay partly to mostly sunny today with the possibility of a pop-up shower or storm in Southern Maine by lunchtime. Keep this in mind when out at the beaches! #mewx #beach
