Leaders are not born. They’re made. There's no such thing as a natural leader. Everyone starts out with shortcomings as well as strengths. Leadership potential doesn't depend on the traits you possess. It emerges from the values you choose and the skills you learn.

Suella Braverman knows less than 2% of UK asylum applications are on sexual orientation and majority are granted. Yet she chose to specifically target & criticise LGBT+ people to distract from her failure to tackle Tory asylum chaos. Divisive, truly shameful & demeans her office

I’m invoking principle 7 of the Nolan Principles: “Holders of public office should…..actively promote and robustly support the principles and challenge poor behaviour wherever it occurs.” I see no objectivity, selflessness of integrity here. None.

Did you know that 50% of women declined their first breast screening invite? If you have been invited for breast screening but missed or did not book an appointment, you can still contact your local NHS breast screening service to arrange one. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

This morning I made a mistake. As a result I was 20 minutes late for a meeting. No one gave me a behaviour point. I apologised and we moved on. I’m not in detention now. That’s because I’m an adult and I live in the real world. Why should our teenagers be treated so differently?

Cervical cancer will be almost eliminated in coming decades if HPV vaccination rates are high in children. In England HPV vaccination coverage in schools is rising again but still below pre-pandemic levels. Please encourage children to get protected. gov.uk/government/sta…

In transactional relationships, people only reach out when they want something from you. They use your connection to achieve their goals. In meaningful relationships, people get in touch when they think of you. Staying connected and being helpful are their goals.

Sadden to hear about these deaths that were preventable. Important reminder of how deadly whooping cough can be for the vulnerable. It is difficult to stop these infections, so vaccinations, especially for pregnant mums, are vital to protect newborns. Vaccines save lives.

It's an utter tragedy that babies - in Britain, in 2024 - are dying of preventable, Victorian diseases in because of fears around whooping cough vaccines. Parents - please chat through your concerns with an NHS nurse or doctor you trust. We won't judge, we'll listen. (1/2)

I’ve spent the best part of the afternoon going through the notes of an elderly chap I’ve been reviewing over the last few years and making a summary for his new GP for when he leaves London soon. He’s had extensive input not only from me, his GP, but also inpatient teams,

When I vote I don't want unaffordable tax cuts. I want hospital beds. Libraries reopening. Trains that run on time. Kids who aren't too hungry to learn. Rivers that don't run with slurry. Local councils not bankrupted. Politicians who don't venally line their own pockets.

While some people are spending the lives they are lucky to have throwing bricks at police officers, attacking places of worship and setting fire to public buildings I am thinking of these 3 beautiful children and their families, friends and community today❤️

There are a lot of fascists on our streets making lots of noise. They are massively outnumbered by the selfless, kind and compassionate, the people who know we have more in common than that which divides us. The people who know our human rights are universal. Us. All of us.

Never underestimate the power of large groups of stupid people. He was the worst POTUS in history. Impeached twice. Convicted felon. Tried to stage a coup. Sold state secrets. But hey …at least he isn’t an intelligent Black woman.
