Congratulations to my #PrimaryGeography colleague Lisa Clarke from DCU_SEIGS DCU Institute of Education presenting the initial steps of her doctorate research at #esai2024 ESAI ππ fascinating insights into place based learning in Ireland

According to the Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, sheep maintain "high-quality habitats and species-rich biodiversity" in our uplands. Say, what??? It's actually the very opposite. Here's the reality: ecological deadzones.

Excellent piece by John Gibbons π΅πΈ. My jaw dropped to learn that over 60% of new car sales in Ireland are SUVs. That is indicative of a society in *total*, shameful denial of the collapsing climate. As John rightly says, these monster vehicles should be taxed out of existence.

Surprise, Surprise- the 'economic report' commissioned by the private car park owners looks like it was based on biased analysis. Who could have seen that coming?! Implement the Dublin Bay Transport Plan as democratically planned Dublin City Council π²

Delighted to get this paper published. "Climate Change Education in Ireland: A Crisis in Need of a Meaningful Cross-Curricular Response, co-authored with John Morrissey
