“We’ve yet to see the detail on how these billions are going to be spent” Lib Dem Munira Wilson says there is “a lot of questions still to be answered” on allocated funding for the NHS, saying all health service areas need reform #bbcqt

Forever chemicals (otherwise known as PFAS) are found in our drinking water. Worryingly, they are linked to serious health concerns including cancer. Next Tuesday, I am introducing a bill to Parliament requiring water companies to regulate levels allowed in our drinking water. 👇🏽

The last Tory Gov't broke university funding: the system now is both unfair for students and is pushing universities to the brink. Simply raising fees in this broken system is not the solution - we need substantial reforms. Reintroducing maintenance grants would be a good start.

I presented a bill to Parliament to enforce a legal limit on the level of 'forever chemicals' in our drinking water. This is crucial to protect our environment and safeguard the health of future generations. I will continue to press the Government to clean up our water.

This explainer on the inadequacy of the process for the assisted dying bill is exactly why Dr Ben Spencer, Anna Dixon MP for Shipley and I have tabled an amendment to ensure we have a fully informed debate. Such a huge change needs much more work before MPs vote on it 👇🏽

Too many children with special educational needs are missing out on the specialist provision they need, with 2 in 3 special schools at or over capacity. I pressed ministers to provide a timeline for when the 67 planned special schools will be delivered.

Ah, SWR Help playing a blinder this morning with 2 trains in a row cancelled from Whitton station to Waterloo, leaving a 90 min gap between trains 👏🏽. Builds on a pattern of increasing complaints from constituents recently of delays and cancellations 😬.

A disastrous decision for our planet and our local communities who will be blighted by more noise and air pollution. The economic case is flimsy and the costs will be astronomical. If the Chancellor wants growth, she should cut red tape with the EU and reverse her jobs tax.

Too many children who are eligible for #freeschoolmeals are missing out, including from some of the poorest families in our communities. I asked Ministers to support Liberal Democrats calls to automatically enrol ALL eligible children.

The legal limits on nitrogen dioxide levels have been breached for years in the area surrounding Heathrow. A third runway will only exacerbate the damaging impacts of pollution on the environment and our local communities.

It’s so disappointing to see this Government risk losing its moral compass. Pupils can’t learn on empty stomachs and we need to be doing everything in our power to ensure that we give children the best opportunities to succeed in school.

Very disappointing that the Prime Minister refused to confirm whether vulnerable children and their carers will continue to get the support they need through the Adoption & Special Guardianship Support Fund, which is due to end next week.

Munira Wilson 🇺🇦 (@munirawilson) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Absolutely delighted that the Government has confirmed this vital fund will continue, but I should NOT have had to drag ministers kicking and screaming to the House of Commons to do so, the day AFTER it expired. Families must not be put in this position again next year.

Dodging the rain showers to talk to voters in Bushey with our fabulous candidate for County Council, Cllr Christopher Shenton. Lots of good feedback about Bushey Country Club, and Chris saving Kemp Place car park from closing. #happyvibes #LibDems Hertsmere Liberal Democrats 🔶

Proud to join The Children's Society Oasis UK @unicef_uk in listening to young people about their experiences and calling on the Government to invest in childhood for a brighter future. Far too many children in the UK are growing up in poverty, denied the opportunity to thrive.
