Our new paper, reviewing trade-offs among hypoxia, digestion, & swimming within the aerobic scope of fishes. We also discuss how, for many species, max aerobic metabolism perhaps can't be measured during exercise and may only be elicited during digestion. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Our paper is out in Ecology Letters : "Integrating eco-evolutionary dynamics and modern coexistence theory" with Theo Gibbs and Jonathan Levine doi.org/10.1111/ele.14…
New paper [email protected] led by Emma Moffett shows that pregnancy elevates metabolic rates for female Western mosquitofish, which can increase population-level energy demand. doi.org/10.1093/icb/ic…
Michelle Jackson is our wonderful third keynote speaker - she sampled in amazing places ( such as Antartica ) to test the effect of #warming and multiple #stressors on aquatic communities #BESAG2022
