Looking at the relationship between the force required to penetrate a sorghum stem and the likelihood of lodging in our GRDC lodging project in collaboration with QDPI and Pacific Seeds equipment developed by Sean Reynolds Massey

Very excited to be back in Ethiopia working with the Ethiopian Institute for Agricultural Research supporting their crop improvement programs to run their annual Product Advancement Meetings. First meeting is with the amazing maize team 🌽 . Funded by Gates Foundation QLD Alliance for Agriculture & Food Innovation

Excellent discussions about the advantages of using multiple environment trial analysis to better sample the target population of environments with the EIAR maize team and the QLD Alliance for Agriculture & Food Innovation team to support improved selection advancement decisions in their breeding pipelines.

Great to be participating in the annual retreat for ARC Centre of Excellence for Plant Success at the beautiful Gold Coast. Looking forward to a day of fantastic science.

Congratulations Dr Otwani Otwani Daniel Ajaku on successfully completing your PhD! Really great work. It's been a pleasure to be part of your supervisory team. 🎉🥂

Enjoying hearing about both private and public sorghum pre-breeding and breeding Australian Summer Grains Conference with talks from David Jordan and GenTech's breeder, highlighting the need for balancing time, effort and cost with risks relative to return on investment in the pre-breeding space.
