1️⃣ progressive policy changes on immigration, climate, and gender equality significantly reduce policy support. 2️⃣ This decline is particularly strong when right-wing populists are electorally successful, exploiting these policies for reactionary, anti-elitist rhetoric.

3️⃣ Surprisingly, these effects are widespread across society — not just among economically or socially vulnerable groups.
