A common misconception is that Afro hair discrimination only affects women & girls. In reality, young boys & men face this racism too. It’s about defending everyone’s right to express their heritage - because no one should be punished for embracing who they are.

Black History Month might be over but that doesn’t mean we have to stop telling our history. If anything, we’re all living proof that Black history is unbreakable, powerful and resilient. We don’t wait for change. We create it. Happy Monday✊🏾 #MondayMotivation #BlackHistory

Black employees across the country face barriers for wearing their natural hair, while those same workplaces often claim to ‘promote diversity’. If workplaces can’t even accept our natural hair, then #diversity and #inclusion is just a facade.

Black children should never be made to feel like their natural hair is ‘unprofessional.’ How is it still socially acceptable for teachers to label Afro hairstyles as needing ‘fixing’? It’s 2024 - time to end outdated standards. Afro hair deserves respect, not restrictions.

Wow this was an amazing event. Massive congratulations to L’myah Sherae for organising such a huge wonderful audience of campaigners to highlight the very real dangers of #AirPollution

.L’myah Sherae said that people of colour, who are often excluded from conversations on air quality, must be heard by decision makers. L'myah also called for an inquiry into the disproportionate impact of air pollution on people of colour. politicshome.com/thehouse/artic…

I hosted an event in Parliament last night to highlight the disproportionate impact of air pollution on Black & Asian communities. As we work to clean up our toxic air, it’s vital that we centre those worst affected by it.

This week, we hosted our biggest Enact Equality event yet at the Houses of Parliament! Over 200 people joined us, with 100+ more unable to get in due to the event being full. It truly shows how urgent the issues of air pollution & racial justice are. Thank you to all who came🙏🏾

In an open letter to Keir Starmer, campaigners Enact Equality have called on ministers to "take decisive and immediate action to confront one of the most urgent, yet persistently under-reported justice issues" across the UK... Air pollution 🧵 mylondon.news/news/uk-world-…

Fantastic work by L’myah Sherae and Enact Equality 👇 Air pollution isn't just a public health crisis. It's a social justice issue that disproportionately some of society's most marginalised groups. Enact Equality are demanding action from Government.
