If this The Guardian article is correct then @Labour's strategy to address child poverty wont meet their manifesto commitment to be 'ambitious'. Ambitious requires investment in social security - including scrapping the two child limit. Liz Kendall theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

The two-child limit pulls 109 children into poverty every day. If The Labour Party want to reduce the number of children living in poverty then it has to go. Otherwise whatever policies introduced have to lift 109 children out of poverty BEFORE they have any impact on the overall number
