Today we gathered together for the celebration of the Mass in church to pray and reflect about the Season of Lent. We will continue to reflect on this special time through the coming weeks in our worship in class and assemblies.

We welcomed many guests who shared their love of science with us, as we celebrated British Science Week. You could see the increase in curiosity and enthusiasm of the possibilities with science amongst all our pupils, and this is why these events are worth all the effort.

Pupils at English Martyrs’ have already begun bringing in their wonderful posters for our Summer Term 1 Science project, which is all about ‘The Body’. Our display highlights our pupil’s enthusiasm for Science and how much children love exploring Science all around them.

Year 3 enjoyed a trip to the Centre for Wildlife Gardening in East Dulwich. They explored plant life, and classified animals by their skeletons. The visit also highlighted the importance of environmental protection ahead of World Environmental Day.

Huge kudos to our pupils for their fantastic 'Human Body' posters this term! 🌟 Next up: 'Looking After Our Planet'. We encourage everyone to create a poster at home and research ways to help our Earth. Let's make a difference together! 🌍💚 #EcoFriendly #StudentProjects
