We really value our long-standing collaboration with RADE Bristol, a group that does some fantastic work for the community of Easton to help tackle #pollution.

Thanks to Royal Academy of Engineering Diversity Impact funding, the MAKERS could support three community groups in St Paul's in teaching new skills in making and repair, promoting self-sufficiency, and highlighting engineering careers for young people. Read more here: bit.ly/3VCkyAo

The The Old Library & Re_Thrindle put on a great "Upcycle your Garment" session last night! Community members and UWE Bristol students learned how to re-style & alter unworn clothes into something new. This is part of the Royal Academy of Engineering funded repair and making focused MAKERS project.

Over the past year, the MAKERS Project, which was funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering Diversity Impact Programme, has partnered with The Old Library to deliver workshops focused on food growing, sewing, and textile repair. Read all about it here 👉bit.ly/3XX5d05

The MAKERS Project is a Green Gown Awards finalist in the Benefitting Society category! 🎉 This Royal Academy of Engineering funded project has supported the community at UWE and beyond with a repair café and workshops on the topics of repair and making. More here: bit.ly/3zMjL8Y

Looking for something to do with the kids? Our team is off to St Paul's this morning, where we will be designing and testing wind turbine blades as part of their Weekly Wednesday pop-ups organised by Bridging Histories. Find us outside the @StPaulsLC from 11am to get involved!

Thrilled to hear that there will be another set of sewing workshops at The Old Library. These are free to attend and funded by the MAKERS project. Priority is given to those on low incomes, those interested can apply via this link: bit.ly/4cTVaww
