Ptychopterid Tuesday anyone?🦟 This is an Eastern Phantom Crane Fly (family Ptychopteridae). With legs and tarsomeres filled with air, they are able to float around in an almost "ghostly" manner on the breeze.👻 They are found near wetlands east of the Rockies in NA.

Had a great time at the Entomological Society of Canada and EntSocSask Joint Annual Meeting with this amazing University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) crew. We gave eight talks, heard about a lot of other fantastic research, and made great connections. And we wrapped up at a cat cafe where I made a sweet new friend.

Pikmin are insects: confirmed. Had so much fun presenting at ESC-ESS (Entomological Society of Canada EntSocSask) in Saskatoon. Key takeaway: If you want to find the homeowners (🪰), collect all their homes (🌾)!
