As a taxpayer, why should my taxes continue to fund scholarships for students at state schools who get paid to play their sport. They should pay for their own education.

For all you loyal followers all these years you know I've predicted the big money schools would pull away formally or through actions like scheduling. There are less and less meaningful match ups between big $$$ conference schools vs anybody outside ACC/BIG10/BIG12/BIG EAST/SEC.

Old style of recruiting when we out-worked other schools by being around all the time is ancient history. Today if you don’t have people who can evaluate talent on your coaching staff & spend NIL money wisely, you’re screwed. And if you go by somebody’s Top 100 list to recruit,

I've been associated with ESPN for 26 years. I'm hoping for a few more. My play by play partners have been exceptional and now so many are dear friends. Same for fans around the country. My producers have been awesome teammates. I still have stories to tell, God willing.

I saw the AMERICAN rebrand. With Army/Navy as football only members, SOAR certainly honors those historic/respected institutions, intentionally or not. Two wishes, add Air Force and have all three as full sport members.
