There have been at least 3 quarterbacks drafted in the 1st Round in 8 of the last 9 years. For context from 1967-2001 there were only 6 years when 3+ QBs were taken in the 1st Round.

Now that the NFL draft is four days away, this is the closest to the start of it that there have been no trades for first-round picks in the Common Draft Era, per ESPN’s Evan Kaplan. The Joe Montana trade in 1993 came five days before the draft; this year now has surpassed that.

With Shedeur Sanders, Tyler Shough and Jalen Milroe still on the board (among others).. The last time there were multiple QBs selected in the 2nd Round was 2014.

Worked on a bunch of George Pickens/Cowboys notes today and this one stuck out the most. CeeDee Lamb had 2,027 MORE receiving yards than any other Cowboys WR in the last 2 seasons (Brandin Cooks).

Seems like the writing is on the wall with banning the tush push…but how is the previous rule until 2005 the “gotcha” argument? Rules are changed in every sport on a yearly basis. The notion that it should be banned because it previously wasn’t allowed is a strange one.

Since the NFL went to 17 games in 2021, 55 of the 56 playoff teams had a winning record that season (only exception was the 2022 Buccaneers). Last season all 14 playoff teams won at least 10 games.
