"Women doing care work, particularly in the broader public sector, face the deepest sex discrimination that undervalues and underpays their work." Excellent op-ed by Equal Pay Coalition for #EqualPayDay

No better way to spend #EqualPayDay Excited & slightly nauseous from nerves, about tonight’s debate. I see a lot of great questions in comments but the women on the frontlines will be asking the questions. The premier was invited but we were told he had a scheduling conflict.

Today marks #EqualPayDay in Canada. Please remember that, in much of the statistics you read today, the "white" is silent when you read women. Black, Indigenous & women of colour have to work harder and longer to make the same as white people. Economic justice is racial justice.

Only the second political debate on #womens issues in #Canada. First one in 1984’s federal debate. Tonight is the first provincial debate on a womens issue - #equalpay. It’s time for bold action. Andrea Horwath Steven Del Duca Mike Schreiner Who is not here? Doug Ford

Amazing questions being asked at the #equalpay debate being hosted by Equal Pay Coalition right now. Kudos to all of these well spoken and passionate women asking such pertinent questions for all women about #onpoli right now

Rich discourse at Equal Pay Coalition Leaders Debate. Unfortunate that Premier Doug Ford could not attend due a scheduling conflict. Very curious: what is more important than discussing the economic conditions of half of Ontario's population? #onpoli

Let’s face it - it’s 2022 but gender wage gap exists and women with intersectional identities are predominantly in precarious labour in disproportionately large numbers! Thank you Equal Pay Coalition for a historic constructive dialogue, esp. closing in with GBA+ lense to all policies!

A big thank you Equal Pay Coalition for the invitation to moderate this historic debate on #EqualPayDay & everyone who asked questions & tuned in. I was born in a country where politicians were inaccessible & feel immense privilege to live in a country where we can question our leaders.
