On this day in 2002: the Party at the Palace, a concert in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee, was filmed and recorded at Buckingham Palace. Paul McCartney joined Eric for a performance of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" as part of the show.

From June 4 to June 6 in 2004, Eric's first ever Crossroads Guitar Festival took place at Fair Park Dallas /Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas. On June 6, Eric performed "Layla" as part of the festival.
