There’s more animosity against Pope Francis among the Cardinals than most people think. Not necessarily ideological opposition, but instead anger over his chaotic and even petty governance style. So we might get a pope aligned with Francis in ideology, but not likely in style.

I don't think people should play hall monitor and moralize about how people shouldn't speculate about the conclave. Of course it's okay to speculate about the conclave -- It turns out that you are actually allowed to chit-chat about things that interest you and affect your life.

Message to WASHINGTON: We see your LETHAL support to The War Machine. We know exactly what you are doing. We elected Trump to be a peace president, not to start more needless wars.

I prefer what another priest I know said, “Pray that God is as merciful to Pope Francis as you want Him to be to you.”

There's no question AI poses dangers to our society, as it threatens to undermine the meaning of work and creativity. But simply rejecting it is not the Catholic way forward. We must baptize it, using it in a manner in keeping with the dignity of man and for the glory of God.

I like the ceremonies surrounding First Communions, which can help a child recognize how important the Eucharist is. But it’s also okay for parents to just tell a priest, “My child is ready” and as long as there isn’t a serious obstacle, to allow the child to receive.

Just finished the first draft of a science fiction novel I’m writing. Look for it later this year. Really excited about this…

Not realizing Müller is one of the best Cardinals and a great ally of trads is autistic tradism at its peak (fortunately, it’s a minority position).

A sign of hope for faithful Catholics is that the modernist Cardinals are far more likely to eat their own in their quest for power.

When going in the wrong direction, it makes no sense to keep going or even to just slow down. The best choice is to turn around and return to the proper path.

Washington's Catholic governor betrays the Faith, signing legislation forcing priests to divulge abuse if they hear of it in the Confessional. The seal of Confessional is inviolate; priests in Washington will now have the opportunity to suffer for Christ.

I'll be honest: this doesn't offend me. It's typical Trump humor, and I've learned not to take that too seriously. I'm much more worried about how actual occupants of the Chair of St. Peter might demean the office.

It’s nice that FS and TC are seen as albatrosses, but here’s the thing: a Cardinal could make almost any promise, because he knows that once he’s pope, he can just do what he wants and most of the Cardinals will fall in line.

I understand faithful Catholics offended by the “Pope Trump” post. But I couldn’t care less about the supposed offense of Catholics who voted for baby-killing, homosexual-supporting “Catholic” Joe Biden, whose whole administration was far more offensive to Catholicism.
