There’s more animosity against Pope Francis among the Cardinals than most people think. Not necessarily ideological opposition, but instead anger over his chaotic and even petty governance style. So we might get a pope aligned with Francis in ideology, but not likely in style.

I don't think people should play hall monitor and moralize about how people shouldn't speculate about the conclave. Of course it's okay to speculate about the conclave -- It turns out that you are actually allowed to chit-chat about things that interest you and affect your life.

Message to WASHINGTON: We see your LETHAL support to The War Machine. We know exactly what you are doing. We elected Trump to be a peace president, not to start more needless wars.

If this were the Middle Ages, everyone would suspect poisoning.

I prefer what another priest I know said, “Pray that God is as merciful to Pope Francis as you want Him to be to you.”
