Peanut trial NFREC-SV at 80 days after planting. Testing nematicides with susceptible cultivar (GA 06G) vs resistant cultivar (TifNV) for management of peanut root-knot nematode. Canopy size and closure is better for the resistant cultivar. #UFBugs

Class field trip. Today we visited UF Nematology alum Ruhiyyih with BASF in Morrisville NC and also Syngenta Crop Protection in Greensboro NC.

We had 3 UF/IFAS Entomology & Nematology grad students in #SON2024 student talk competitions: 1. Sabina Budhathoki (Grabau lab) on cover crops 2. Erica Guri (Crow Lab) on nematicide-resistant nematodes 3. Ricky Critchfield (Porazinska lab) on nematode gut microbiomes

My ace MS student EG did an amazing job presenting her research on fluopyram resistance in root-knot and sting nematodes at the Society of Nematologists meeting.
