The U.S. Navy has exonerated the Port Chicago 50, a group of Black sailors convicted in the largest mutiny in its history, restoring honor to the veterans and their families 80 years after they were punished following a devastating naval disaster.

Frantic police, overwhelmed by the scale of this disaster, now blocking off all access to Palisades. A wall of flames and explosions are on the other side of their security line.
