Paper day! We examined JWST active galaxies at z=4-7 and found a high-z Mbh-M* relation that deviates at >3sigma from the local one. Black holes are 10-100x overmassive compared to their local counterparts. This fact is not due to a selection effect. arxiv.org/abs/2308.12331

The X-ray microcalorimeter, developed by a NASA-GSFC-led team, is an amazingly sensitive device where the energy of an photon is measured by noticing the increase in temperature of the pixel caused by absorbing it! To do this, each camera pixel is cooled to 50 milliKelvin !!!
