Abstract presented by Esin Nkereuwem from the ongoing EDCTP-funded Childhood TB Sequel was highlighted during the closing rapporteur session of the #UnionConf2023 as one of the key results in child lung health. More to come in Bali at the #UnionConf2024 ☺️

Passionate about understanding the issue of #inequalities in #Childhood #Vaccines, do register to attend and listen to my talk at the International Child Health Group Winter meeting. Promises to be exciting. #LeaveNoOneBehind Beate Kampmann MRC Unit The Gambia at LSHTM

As we mark the #WorldTBDay2024 with the theme "Yes! We can #EndTB", let us also remember #TB and #postTBdisability in #children & #adolescents!!! Read our new comment in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine. LSHTM TB Centre UCL-TB The Union Esin Nkereuwem Linda-Gail Bekker Link: bit.ly/4akW70N

Glad to have contributed to this important piece from the 2nd international PostTBSymposium. More advocacy is needed to improve outcomes after #TB, especially in children and adolescents. Childhood TB Sequel Toyin Togun, PhD FFPH Beate Kampmann Oluwatosin Nkereuwem

Celso Khosa Tom Wingfield Instituto Nacional de Saúde – INS LSTM University of Pretoria University of Leicester Dr Esin Nkereuwem and Dr Toyin Togun, PhD FFPH (MRC Unit The Gambia at LSHTM & London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine) aim to make lung condition tests more diverse. They will generate reference values for #spirometry in healthy Gambian children, so we can better assess lung condition in West African children. ➡️bit.ly/4a8TH56

Our new paper in Pediatric Pulmonology reveals that children and adolescents still experience reduced lung health even after "successful" #TB treatment. We must prioritise #PostTB care in young people. Beate Kampmann Toyin Togun, PhD FFPH Edem Fabian Sheila Agyeiwaa Owusu Full-text link: bit.ly/4aQ6XvE
